Large Diameter Pipe Rehabilitation
The innovations of trenchless, no-dig technologies make it possible to repair entire pipelines without the disruption of digging and, thereby, allowing for a systematic rehabilitation of an entire underground infrastructure.
MCSP utilizes various restoration methods to restore compromised pipelines. These methods significantly improve structural integrity, helping to extend the service life of the pipeline and, since the staging area for the work is typically small, there is also minimal traffic, flow disruption or diversion.
Pipelining restoration methods include:
Cast-In-Place Pipelining. A high-strength cementitious coating, containing a proprietary blend of additives, is spray applied, making a once structurally compromised pipeline, impermeable. Epoxies and urethane coatings that are resistant to bacterial and chemical exposure can also be spray applied.
Spin Casting. A versatile repair method, this process applies thin layers of high-strength, cementitious grout or mortar that is deposited, lining and adhering tightly to the original substrate.
Sliplining Large Diameter Pipelines. Another form of trenchless rehabilitation, the sliplining method can be utilized for any size pipe, given that there is appropriate access, and a new pipe is small or large enough to “slip in and line” the host pipe.
Geopolymer + Cementitious Pipelining. Geopolymer and cementitious spray-applied linings are an environmentally friendly solution that is resistant to bacterial and chemical corrosion and helps prevent future infiltration/exfiltration leakage.
Shotcrete Pipe Lining. In this process a high volume of a concrete mixture is sprayed through a hose and pneumatically projected at high velocity. Shotcrete requires no compaction and can be applied from a safe distance over large areas.
