Culverts

Sinkholes + Shifting Pavement

Sinkholes are often the first indication that a culvert has deteriorated or is failing. The long-term erosion of sub-surface drainage flow lines eventually compromise the asphalt causing it to settle and crack. Subsequent shifting causes the surface pavement to settle and sinkholes to open necessitating the stabilization of the surrounding areas and the replacement or restoration of the culverts.
